NARS DUO EYESHADOWS

Nars is one of my favourite make up brands, these eyeshadow duos are so pretty, they're really pigmented, long lasting without creasing and buttery in texture meaning they blend so easily and effortlessly. These duo's are great for travelling if you don't want to bring a whole palette away with you, I took Alhambra away with me to Vienna last December and loved wearing it every day!

Alhambra is a beautiful natural duo consisting of a 'mellalic rose mist' and 'golden champagne'. These colours really brighten up the eye area and are subtle enough for every day wear. There are a few great combinations you can do with this duo, I like to wear the rose colour all over the eye and the gold in the inner corners and slightly under the eye. It gives a pretty, girly look whilst bringing light to the eyes.

Violetta is great for a purple smudgy, smoky eye. It consists of a 'smoky lavender' and a 'soft metallic violet'. I love wearing the violet shade under the eye to bring out the brown in my eyes and for a hint of colour, also applying the smoky lavender first and blending the violet over the top creates a fuss free quick smoky eye.

Have you tried any Nars eyeshadow duo's? I've got my eye on the Sugarland duo next!

MY MAC QUAD

For me, making your own eyeshadow palette is so personal and unique. I have brown eyes and so look for eyeshadow shades with hints of purple in them to help my eyes to stand out, this is my every day Mac quad and four most used Mac eyeshadows.

MAC Sable eyeshadow (top left): A beautiful bronze colour with plum pearl, I love wearing this blended under my eyes or in the crease.

MAC Patina eyeshadow (top right): A light taupe with golden shimmer running through it, this is a pretty neutral shade that I wear all over the lid on its own.

MAC Naked Lunch eyeshadow (bottom left): My favourite Mac eyeshadow that I wear pretty much every day. I get so many compliments on my eyes when I wear this, its the perfect champagne pink.

MAC Quarry eyeshadow (bottom right): This is the only Matte colour in my quad, I wear this muted plum-brown colour blended into the crease with a tapered eyeshadow brush, normally with Naked Lunch all over the lid.

For my Inner corner highlight and brow bone, I normally just take whichever highlighter I'm using that day and apply a little with a bdellium 716.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

This stunning rose gold palette is a new firm favourite for me. I love all the colours in the Naked 3 palette and find them a lot more wearable than the Naked 1 palette that I own as I prefer lighter champagne, rose and gold eyeshadows.

The packing of the Naked 3 palette is a rippled rose gold tin, which is practical and easy to wipe clean. It comes with a large mirror inside and a dual ended brush.

My favourite ever eyeshadow is MAC's naked lunch which is a lovely light pink shimmery eyeshadow so when I saw this palette full of shimmering pinks, rose gold's and warm browns, I knew I would love it. I found that the only shadow in the Naked 3 palette that I had some fallout with was Dust, however if you pack it on with a flat brush, it stays in place. All the rest are buttery smooth, well pigmented and blend really well. Although I love every colour in this palette, a few are very warm/pink based and so you do have to be careful when mixing some of the colours to avoid looking like you have swollen eyes!

I love the Naked 3 Palette and I'm glad I own it as I've already had a lot of use out of it, but with the Narsissist palette and Mac x15 palettes coming out soon theres definitely some serious competition on the way!

White Liner, Fluttery Lashes

White-eyeliner
White-eyeliner-makeup

I've been loving wearing pale, frosty colours at the moment - especially frosty pinks and silver highlighters and so I thought I would create a wintry eye to go with it. I'm not sure if I would wear this look out but I really like the idea of using white eyeliner around the eye and then really blending it out to brighten the area and make the mascara stand out!

Firstly I applied foundation and concealer, I then used Fashionista white liner all around the eye and then smudged it out a little to blend the line. I applied some eyelure top and bottom lashes to give me fluttery long lashes and then added a little mascara to blend my lashes into them.

It's similar to the S/S 2013 trends which was worn with orange lipstick but I think it works well with red or pink stained lips for winter too!

Products used:

- Rimmel match perfection foundation

- Collection lasting perfection concealer

- Revlon Grow luscious mascara

- Fashionista white eyeliner

Natural collection from boots is a really affordable, good quality Make up brand. These eyeshadows were only £1.99 each and as you can hopefully see from the swatches, they are well pigmented and such pretty colours!

If I want to do a Make up look, It can get a bit much each time splashing out on a new MAC eyeshadow that I wouldn't normally wear, I think these are a great resolution as there
are lots of colours to choose from and for £1.99, you can't really go wrong!

The only downside to these eyeshadows is the packaging, its very plasticy and cheap feeling, but then considering the value of the eyeshadow and the fact that the quality is so good, then I think the packaging doesn't really matter that much!

Have you tried these?

Mac Naturally Collection

L- Redhead R- Summer Haze
I've been checking the MAC website every day since I've seen reviews of MACs new 'Naturally' collection on blogs and youtube. I was out shopping on Friday when I spotted the MAC Naturally advertisement in the shops window, lol I literally squealed and ran straight into the shop!

I picked up Summer haze mineralised eyeshadow and the Redhead MSF. I also loved the 'In the sun' mineralised eyeshadow which is a gorgeous deep gold/brown with hints of violet but at £16.50 each for the eyeshadows and £21.50 for the MSF, I couldn't really justify getting it aswell as I rarely wear dark eyeshadows.

Summer haze is a pale gold with deeper gold running through it, I would use this all over the lid for every day wear but it could also be used for a highlight in the inner corner and under the brow.
Redhead Mineralised Skin Finish has a gradient of gold to salmon pink, it gives a lovely peach/pink glow and can be used as a highlight or just as a blush on its own.
