Back From Europe!!

I'M BAAAACKKKK!! After a missed flight and a 7 hour layover in Chicago, I’m finally back from the most INCREDIBLE 6 weeks of my life! It seems like only yesterday that I was packing up my backpack, ready to venture outside the States for the first time in my life.  Being back home is certainly bittersweet. Of course, I missed my friends and family (and not having to pay for water in restaurants), but I definitely got bit by the travel bug and really did fall in love with Europe. Sigh. Here’s hoping I’ll be back sooner than later. Until then, I have plenty to write about to satisfy my Europe withdrawals. I plan on writing a series of “Eurotrip” posts (as well as various other travel-related posts), detailing my thoughts of what I did and saw in each city I visited. I’ll write about what I thought of the hostels I stayed at, the food I ate, the tours and museums I checked out, and other cool places or things I would recommend.  I hope you all enjoy reading about my lovely Euro adventures!

The Copper Look

I'm back! Sorry for neglecting this blog for such a long time, I've been travelling and have had neither the time nor the inspiration to create any looks. I spent a lovely holiday in Florida and had a very interesting business trip to the UK afterwards, and hopefully the next weeks will be a little quieter (even with my 30th birthday coming up :S)...

To get back into the flow, here's a rather simple look whose main attraction is the contrast between matte and shimmering textures - and the SatC lashes, which I absolutely love!

I am Mermaid ♥

Hello everyone!!

I hope you are all having a lovely bank holiday weekend. 

I saw Pirates of the caribbean 4 recently and was soo inspired by the mermaids!! 
This look isn't like the mermaids in the film, i've just taken inspiration from it.
To create this look I popped a fishnet stocking over my head and patted on a blue and purple Barry M Dazzle Dust and then lightly brushed gold Barry M Dazzle dust over the top. I carefully lifted the fishnet stocking off and then blended around the outside using a powder brush. I also used the Barry M dazzle dusts on my eyelid. I popped on my tokyo eylure lashes and a clear gloss to complete this look.
For my hair I added some hair extentions and braided them into a fishtail plait.

2011 MET Gala: Best Dressed

Every year, the biggest names in fashion and entertainment come together for the Costume Institute Gala that takes place in the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art in what is often described as the “Oscars” of fashion. The MET Ball, as it is also known, is a celebration of fashion and a chance for celebrities to really turn up the glam. This year, the Institute honored the late Alexander McQueen for his brilliant contributions to fashion in its latest exhibition, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. Outfits for Ovaries

Ahh, I can't believe I haven't posted anything in a month! Life has just been so crazy with school coming to a close and my spontaneous decision to go backpacking in Europe for the summer!! Nevertheless, I wanted to share these photos from the Outfits for Ovaries fashion show hosted by CMA, Fashion Inc, and the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of North Florida. The clothes were provided by local Tallahassee boutiques Cole Couture, Spriggs Luxe, Way Out West, and Olde Fields. The hair was done by the talented crew at Haute Headz. I highly recommend checking out all these places!

As one of CMA's Student Liaisons (the other being the fabulous Robin Holmes), I got to help out with a lot of the planning for the fashion show, working directly with the models and pullings. It also meant I couldn't model in the show like I have done previously. Instead, I recruited several members from my beautiful APhiO family to model for me in the show along with my boyfriend. It was really great getting to dress and work with my gorgeous littles and siblings and everyone seemed to really enjoy the whole experience.

Elf Haul

Luscious liquid lipstick in Baby Lips and Brownie Points, Blush and Bronzer compact, Elf HD powder, Power brush, Eyeshadow C brush and Blush brush.

I bought a few things from Elf recently, I've wanted the brushes for aaaages and have heard great things about the blush/bronzer which is supposed to be a nars laguna/orgasm compact dupe and the HD powder also has great reviews!! I got the luscious liquid lipstick in babylips and brownie points, babylips is a lovely colour and they're only £1.50!
I waited 3 loooong weeks to recieve my products however due to the price/quality it was def worth it. Im not sure whether i'll order from Elf again though.
