Friday's Fancies: Labor Day

Yay!! My second Friday's Fancies!! I did my first one way back in June and each week have wanted to participate in it again since. This week's theme was Labor Day which I'm sure you all are just as excited about the three day weekend as I am!! Unfortunately, I'm still sick with bronchitis so I don't have anything too crazy planned (well...except my sorority's formal in Orlando), but honestly what I would really loveee to do with my extra day of freedom would be to just lie by the pool with a good book and get my tan on. It's only the first week of classes and I already feel overwhelmed so a day of doing nothing but relaxing sounds perfect to me. But knowing me, there's no way that's going to happen but one can dream (:

For this imaginary day of R&R by the pool, I would wear my Victoria's Secret mint bandeau top and rainbow printed leopard hipkini bottoms (LOVE this bathing suit set!) with a coral, also VS, tassel cover up. In reality, I'd probably wear my Express sandals to go with this SUPER cheap Wet Seal floppy hat and my new Tory Burch sunglasses (these aren't the exact ones I own but close enough), but here I'm going to go with these amazing Dolce Vita wedges. Finally, I'd bring a fun-colored or printed, large beach bag like this Brahmin polka dotted tote to carry all my poolside essentials including my Starbucks tumblr, sunscreen (of course), and my current reading material of choice - right now it's Austin Grossman's Soon I Will Be Invincble which you all need to go out and read now - it's awesome.

What are you guys planning on doing for Labor Day?

Topshop Necklace

topshop-necklaceNecklace - Topshop £7.50

I went into Topshop a couple of weeks ago hoping to get a look at the orelia jewelry as I love their collection, especially the little rose gold star necklace. I tried 4 different Topshops but couldn't find it anywhere! In the last Topshop that I went into, I found this necklace, it was the last one and I was so happy as I actually prefer it to the star necklace! I've wanted a bunting-esque necklace for ages now and its so pretty, Its quite small and dainty which I like as I don't really suit chunky necklaces, perfect to team with slouchy jumpers for autumn.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Honey

L-R Honey - Lovesick - Rendezvous - Darling - Cherish - Crush - Romantic
Revlon balm stains are great to pop in your handbag and easy to grab for quick application on the go, they are retractable, have buildable coverage and are long lasting on the lips. They are moisturising and have a light minty taste, which personally i'm not overly keen on but it does leave a nice fresh feeling to your lips!

I picked up revlon balm stain in honey, but I also want to get Lovesick and Crush - which is a shade that I would never normally brave but I think it would be lovely for the autumn.

Revlon seem to be on a roll this year with their lip products, first with their lip butters and now their lip balm stains. I cant wait to see what they bring out next!

TUTORIAL: "Black Out" Makeup Look

Yay! Another tutorial video! I got a really good response from my first one and have recorded several others but for some reason never get around to finish editing them >.< For this second tutorial, I decided to do a night out look with a smokey winged eye and pink cheeks and lips. I also decided to show you what I wore when I went out with this makeup (sorry for how out of focus it is in the video). If you've seen my past videos, you'll also notice a different background! That's because I moved into a new place and have a new room now! I'm still trying to decide what poster to put behind me so that's why there's that big blank space on the wall to my left lol. I've spent quite an amount of time decorating my room over the past couple weeks so maybe one day I'll do a little room tour to show it off ^^ But enough rambling, on to the video! Geeky Fashionista Is Back!

Hey guys! Sorry for going MIA from the blogging (and YouTube) world. During my sudden and long absence, I lost my internet for over a month (the main reason I dropped off the face of the interweb - stupid Comcast); went to San Diego for Comic Con (oh, how I wish I could have blogged during that time); anddd I moved from my old apartment of two years into a new townhouse! Add all that to working and getting ready for my final semester at FSU, and I've been a busy girl. But! I have not forgotten you all and my love for this blog so I am BACK AT LAST!!!

I was hoping to come back with a series of Back to School videos and posts but, seeing as I'm writing this laying sick in bed with a fever and bad cough, my health had other plans. Nevertheless, even this sickness won't hold me back for long! I have too much I want to share! =) I have made a whole list of things I want to record and post about but if you guys have any requests, feel free to let me know in the comments!

Also, before I disappeared, I was prepping for my first ever giveaway once I hit 100 subscribers. Well, to my delight, that indeed did happen and I'm planning on delivering as promised! Some of the prizes won't seem as exciting now unfortunately (I was able to receive some Chanel and MAC products before their collections officially launched and some Olympics themed beauty products), but they are still amazing products nonetheless which I hope you guys will enjoy.

To my current 100+ subscribers and whoever else: thank you so much for reading! I'm sorry I've been gone for so long but thank you for sticking around! Check back for more posts soon!! <3
